Went to the electronic dance music festival in Leicester.

The new site was lovely, in the woods so plenty of shade and all the stages having a nice clearing.

Had a nice time on Friday night.

The Severe Weather Warning and subsequent thunder storms arrived on Saturday, which I tried to ignore under the umbrella for a bit but it was really miserable. Spent most of the day listening to audio-books alone in a tiny tent.

After that, the mud and incredible muggy humidity left me feeling not very sociable and pretty miserable. Pushed through it Saturday evening till it got dark but decided to cut it short and come home Sunday.

Been there before at the old venue and I knew what it's like really. A handful of stages but every one of them is just somebody playing records, and it feels like there's little in the way of performance or show-biz to the thing.

Get a bit bored of one stage and then wonder off to another one but it's just the same. Someone playing bleep bloop noises only this time they're called "psy trance" instead of "garage".

And can't really just go sit and chill and chat to folks coz the whole site is just mud.

Nice to see some friends, but mostly just glad to be back home from the grind of it really.

All my photos really suck. Lots of Streaks. Should clean my lens.
