Truss is going.
Notified the king already.
One week for a new leadership election, considerably quicker than the last one.
Surely no intent to ballot the members in a week so they're gonna coronate someone with just MPs nods presumably.
No tears. No whistled death-march. No "Them's the breaks", just "Thanks, goodbye".
Goodbye Liz. Your premiership lasted less time than your election campaign to get it.
Now they will pick another wanker from the big pile of wankers that the party has.
Sunak, Hunt, Mordaunt, Braverman, Johnson. All awful awful incompetent idiots.
Would be nice to think they had a secret back-bencher who can rise to the occasion, unite the party, and govern sanely.
But I don't there they have any of those after Bojo kicked out the sane ones for not supporting his brexit.
So more chaos and corruption and depravity and failure I expect.
Mark Garnier, Tory MP, on the bbc news saying we can't have an election right now because the Tory party are in disarray and democracy requires that you have a choice between stable sane parties.
We have to stick with the insane people you see, because otherwise people wouldn't have a good choice of parties to pick from.
Conservatives have just over 300 ministers, and candidates for leadership need to gather 100 from that list to support them onto the ballot.
So at the very most 3 candidates will be selected for an MP vote.
Maybe only one if only one of them reaches 100.
