The Githib CoPilot thing looks pretty fun to play with. Robots writing your functions for you has to be cool.
But you can't use it for any actual work that you intend to publish, on account of it's spitting out code it copied from all sorts of differently-licensed source-code on the web.
There's no way to tell if the code it's produced is copied from a fully copyrighted proprietary codebase, a copyleft free-software codebase, a use-freely-with-attribution codebase, or even a not-legal anywhere mash-up of the lot.
Which is going to be a difficulty with any GPT-style train-on-internet-data robot co-worker really.
